VBS Day Two

Banana Split

Banana Zack and Sarah

This is our tent where we hold VBS during the day.  Here, Jessica and Whitney are leading the kids in camp songs.  The kids love tooty tot and Go Bananas!
Words from Lauren:   Today was very exciting because we had so many children. I got to sit with a group of boys and sing songs and play all morning. Some of the boys, Kahlil, Nickell and Darnell hung out with us in the afternoon as well. I am hopeful with our new friendship that I will get to share Christ’s message with them. Keep praying for their little hearts! It was raining today when we went to the VBS, but God answered prayer and it stopped raining when we got there and the rain held off the rest of the day.  Today we did our message and skit first before the game.  It went great! Derek and Zack did a hilarious skit and the kids we’re laughing and then Bryan got to share about Jesus is our helper and our protector.  Whitney and Jessica are the designated camp song leaders.  By the end of our time here, they’ll have song Go Bananas fifty times.  We learned a new song that is stuck in our heads: Jesus love is a bubblin over!  Another one we learned is Who is the King of the Jungle.  It has some cool sounds.  Bryan met a man who walked by and was listening to our worship that Bruce was leading.  He seems very interested in Christ, so pray that God does something in his life.We went straight to a different orphanage after the VBS and ate lunch there before the kids came.  Real Trini food!  Potatoes, Chicken in Curry, Pumpkin, Beef, that you eat with a dough like tortilla.  No silverware!  We did Tye dye T shirts at the VBS and the orphange.  After some more music and a message, Zack shared his testimony and did a great job.  Our team was very tired after today.  Please pray for our strength and energy, tomorrow is a slightly lighter day!  Thanks for your prayers!
