Redeeming Your Experiences- Recap of Andrew Kulha’s Testimony
By: Christina Walsh
Recently, we have been talking about redeeming our experiences. This Sunday, Andrew Kuhla shared some of his experiences with us. His story shows how God’s grace and love can shine through our brokenness and hurt. Andrew’s story showed me several things about grace, love, and redemption.
First, God’s grace is always big enough to cover our brokenness. Things can never be so bad that God’s grace can’t fix it. It is in our brokenness that God’s light shines through. Also, we can never have any hurt that is too deep for God to heal. Psalm 34:18 says-“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in Spirit.” God loves us even though we are weak. For His grace is made perfect in our weakness. Second, no matter how unworthy you may feel, God will always love you. There is nothing that you can do to make Him stop loving you. He loves us so much that He sent His son to die for us. It is awesome to know that the God of the whole universe cares enough about us to give His son for us. Third, God is there; ready to redeem you, even in your brokenness. You can never be so far away that God can’t reach out to you and redeem you.
We also learn that as believers we are given a great responsibility. Luke 12:48 says-“To those who much is given, much will be demanded.” As Christians, we have been given a lot; therefore, God expects a lot out of us. We need to reach out to the people around us, even the ones that we may think are “too far gone” for change. Just let God’s light shine and He will take care of the rest.
So remember, God’s grace can heal your brokenness no matter how bad it may be. He will always be there ready to redeem you and he loves you more than anyone else ever could.
