Kyle Daubenmeyer
Kyle is the Student Ministries Director at Woodside of Royal Oak. He has been a member of Woodside since 7th grade, and has volunteered with the youth since he entered college. He enjoys hanging out in the summer, playing sports, and being creative in any way. He and his wife Kristin live in Royal Oak and love this city. They were married in Hawaii in August of 2007.
Kristin Daubenmeyer
Kristin is Kyle’s adoring wife. She works along side him with Student Ministries and is also the Woodside Royal Oak Admin. She loves summertime, her pets, vacationing, Target, and coffee. If you go to Kristin’s house, you know how much she loves to bake! She was born in Royal Oak and is happy to be living in this city again and to be back where she belongs!
Todd Veldman
Todd has been involved in church youth group all throughout his middle & high school years. He loved every minute of it and it has encouraged him to now help out with the Royal Oak Woodside Ministries. He is a huge Detroit sports fan, and will never give up on those Lions. He also loves spending time with his beautiful wife and fun loving dog, Maddox.
Abby Veldman
Abby moved to the area a few years ago from the lovely state of Indiana. After graduating from college, she decided to start her own photo business up here and has been building it here ever since. She married her college sweetheart, Todd, in 2006 and they reside in Clawson with their black lab mix and cuddle bug, Maddox. Besides taking photographs, she enjoys practicing yoga, biking, traveling, and getting a tan. She is in love with the area and is excited to work with the high schoolers at the Royal Oak Campus.
Zach Wright
Zach Wright grew up in the city of Berkley, but began playing hockey in Royal Oak at John Lindell Ice Arena. Zach continues to enjoy playing hockey, as well as any other sport on the planet. His favorite things to do are to play sports, watch movies and eat popcorn with his wife Julia, and sit at home and relax whenever possible. Zach is extremely excited to continue working with High School Students @ WSM. Zach’s favorite food is Hungry Howies Pizza, his favorite beverage is Pepsi, his favorite Sports Team is the Red Wings, and his biggest pet peeve is when people driving while talking/texting on their cell phones!!
Julia Wright
For the first 10 years of her life she lived in Plymouth and then her family moved to Farmington Hills for a few years. After that, her Dad was transferred to Mexico City for his job and Julia lived in Mexico for 3 years but returned to the U.S. to finish High School. She recently got married to Zach, and her last named changed from a hard to pronounce Italian name, Pugno to Wright-nice and easy! They currently live in Troy and are hopefully going to be buying a house in Berkley. They are excited that they found a home church that they are able to grow in Christ., and they both truly enjoy helping with youth group. Julia enjoys watching girlie movies, hanging out with family, playing cards, and relaxing with her husband while watching a movie and eating popcorn.
Hula the Dog
Hula lives on Fern Street in Royal Oak and loves to spread warmth and cheer on her street. Her neighbors would describe her as cute but loud, and she’s been know to kill a squirrel or two… Either way, if you go to the Daubenmeyer house, there is no way you can miss Hula’s spunky personality!
Kona the Cat
Kona has been in the Daubenmeyer family since October of 2007. He loves bottle caps and sneaking outdoors… To be honest with you, we don’t even know what else he likes……….. he’s never spoken to anyone…
